Officially, the baseball season is now underway. I watched as the New York Yanks lost to Boston in a slug fest opener. March Madness closed with a mild swish as Duke justified their number 1 rating. Now it's the NBA finals. What is April called? Maybe something to do with baskets (like in Easter baskets)? Hoop hoop hurray!
On a writer note of interest, my friend, C. J. Starr has a new City Girl story coming out soon, called, Summer Heat. I had a chance to read it (pre-published)and it is definitely HOT! Don't miss this one, it's a must, must, must read!

Updating Me
Hello All,
I've been asked to put out some personal stuff about me, as a blog. Here goes: I'll turn 64 this year on August the 4th. That makes me a Leo, hot-blooded, with a fiery temperament and all that other Leo hype. I'm 5' 9" tall, overweight, have gray hair and wear it in a pony tail. I'm currently on a 1200 calorie a day diet and hope to get my weight down under 200 pounds -- my fighting weight...
My passion is writing. I'm currently working on a new novel, Vendetta, Assassin Hired, which is a Jim Morgan Adventure. Vendetta is the third book in the Jim Morgan series. I'd like to see it come out this summer. I'm close to finishing and maybe, just maybe, I'm dragging my heels because I don't want it to end (?).
I love to play golf but only shoot in the 90's. My last outing, with a duffer threesome, I shot a 95. I have a nice set of clubs, Power Builts. They were expensive at a list price of 1500 bucks, but I negotiated a neat deal and got them for 1000 dollars, even, with three dozen Titlist thrown in to close the deal. I ought to take a few lessons, but I never seem to have the time for them. I try to play once a week, and I pretty much do!
My sex life? I'm dating a little blond from the San Francisco Bay area. Not much to elaborate on as we have only just met. Time will tell if this is a good thing or a fling thing...
I drive a pick-up truck. I live on a hill, 300 feet above Lake Comanche. Samuel Clements lived on the other side of the lake in Calvaris County before he moved to Hawaii. I have a spectacular view off my deck and I like to BBQ, which I do almost everyday.
OK, there's some inside info on me. If there's something you'd like to know about me, just ask.
Sincerely, From the Lake,
James (Jim) Halon, Author
